I'm a wedding photographer based in Catania. But the word "photographer" alone isn't enough to describe what I truly do. I'm an observer — attentive and patient, from beginning to end. Someone who steps into your day with the lightest footprint and walks away with your story in hand.
I chose documentary photography not out of trend, but because I believe that real moments — the ones that can't be staged or repeated — are the most powerful ones that exist. That glance between you during the ceremony. The spontaneous laugh of the bride's father. The moment someone cries without even realising it.
Those moments happen only once. My job is to be there — with the right light, the right angle, and the sensitivity of someone who understands before it even happens.
Don't take our word for it. Let someone who lived this experience first-hand tell you.
“An experience I would live again 10 more times! Alessio is a truly helpful person who supports you — practically one of the family.”Ana & Cosimo — Married July 2024
I didn't become a wedding photographer by chance. I arrived here after understanding something fundamental about the way I see the world: I'm drawn to authentic beauty. Not the constructed kind, not the posed kind. The kind that emerges when people stop thinking about the camera.
On that day, the guard drops. Emotions surface unfiltered. There's love, fear, relief, joy, nostalgia — all at once, within the space of a few hours. And I'm there to capture all of it with respect, with discretion, and with the eye of someone who has learned to read light the way others read words.
I chose Eastern Sicily as my territory because it's my homeland. I know it. I know how the light changes on Etna at six in the afternoon in August. I know the colour of the Baroque stone in Noto when the sun sets. I know where to place you to turn a photo into a work of art.
There are hundreds of photographers in Sicily. Here's why couples like you choose me — and why, once you've seen the photos, you know it was the right choice.
My technique isn't about building the perfect shot. It's about melting into your day until you forget I'm there. Only then do the images arrive that you'll struggle to believe you actually lived — because you'll feel them, not just look at them.
Pure documentary styleMy light-and-shadow style isn't a filter applied in post-production. It's a choice I make before the shutter: I observe, I find the position, the angle, the moment. Every photo has intentional light, not accidental. That's what makes them unique rather than interchangeable.
Painterly lightCinema Wedding and the The Shot service aren't add-ons to my work: they're extensions of my philosophy. The first transforms your wedding into a cinematic experience for your guests. The second includes every single guest in a unique visual memory.
Exclusive servicesI work with couples who have a precise aesthetic sensibility — spontaneous and creative — and I know how to match those who already know what they want. You won't need to bring me a moodboard of a hundred pins and hope I get it. I'll arrive already in tune.
Visually aware coupleWith my The Shot service, the problem of traditional group photos simply doesn't exist. Every guest is photographed at the creative set built for you, while you stay and enjoy your celebration. Zero interruptions. Zero forty minutes lost in the August sun.
No dead timeIf you chose that venue for how the light comes through the windows at five in the afternoon, I'll see it too. If the flowers were chosen one by one, they'll be in the photos as they deserve. I don't work with interchangeable backdrops: I work with everything you've built.
Attention to detail
A few years ago, a couple asked me to photograph their wedding in Catania. A grand celebration, but tasteful and refined, in an elegant reception villa. During the afternoon party, the bride stood up to dance with her grandfather (her father had passed away) — a slow, improvised dance, with no background music. Just the two of them.
Not because the photo was technically perfect. But because it captured something irreplaceable. A moment that existed for only thirty seconds, and that no one else in that room had seen the way I saw it. The bride and the man who had been like a father to her for years. That photo now sits on the bride's bedside table.
That's what gets me out of the house every morning with a camera in hand. Not the technique. Not the business. The possibility of saving something that would otherwise be lost forever.
Let's talk about your wedding →These aren't values written for the website. They're the criteria I use to choose couples, manage my work, and measure whether I've done the right thing at the end of every day.
Discover my services →A posed photo gives you an image. An authentic photo gives you a truth. My commitment is always to the latter.
Quality isn't how much the service costs. It's how much the result moves you. And that emotion, I promise you, lasts for decades.
Your day doesn't repeat itself. Every second is precious. I won't steal even one for things that can be done differently — and better.
I work thinking about your children and grandchildren. Those images will one day tell who you were — far more than any words ever could.
Being invisible on your wedding day isn't a limitation. It's the highest form of respect for your story and for everyone living it.
I don't have unlimited slots. I work with a small number of carefully selected couples each year, because every couple deserves total presence — not an assembly-line service. If your date is available, it could be the best news of your week.
Fill in the form — I'll get back to you within 24 hours, I promise.
