I secretly plan and capture cinematic marriage proposals for couples traveling to Sicily — so everything feels effortless, natural, and unforgettable.
While we walk and shoot together, my team is already preparing the scene ahead of you. Rose petals placed by hand. The perfect angle chosen before sunset. Cameras hidden from sight.
Then comes the moment she realizes this was never just a photo session.
And when you drop to one knee, I’m already capturing the exact second her world changes.
I only take a limited number of proposal experiences each month, Because every proposal is custom planned, availability each month is intentionally limited.
Ghost Direction is the invisible planning behind the proposal.
Before you even reach the location, we’ve already prepared the scene:
checking the light,
placing details discreetly,
choosing the exact angle,
positioning ourselves where we can disappear completely.
So when the moment finally happens, nothing feels staged.
No posing.
No interruptions.
No photographer telling you where to look.
Just a real surprise unfolding naturally — while every second is captured forever.
One moment. No retakes. If the photographer misses the exact second she realizes what’s happening, that reaction is gone forever.
Sicily is beautiful — but timing changes everything. The same location can feel magical or disappointing depending on light, privacy, crowds, and positioning.
The surprise can collapse instantly. One visible camera. One awkward direction. One suspicious moment — and she already knows.
Finding the right photographer is harder than it should be. Most photographers show weddings. Few specialize in surprise proposals. Even fewer can coordinate everything clearly in English while planning discreetly from abroad.
You’re planning one of the most important moments of your life…
and you have no idea if you’re doing it right.
Wrong location → no atmosphere.
Wrong timing → bad light.
Wrong setup → she suspects everything.
And the worst part?
There are no second chances.
No redo.
No “let’s do it again”.
Just one moment… that can either feel perfect
or completely fall apart.
Four steps. Zero stress for you.
One unforgettable surprise for her.
You plan a normal trip to Sicily together.
2–4 weeks before the proposal, we schedule a private video call to secretly plan everything:
the location,
the timing,
the light,
the route,
the exact proposal spot.
I help you choose what works best based on crowds, sunset direction, privacy, and atmosphere — so nothing feels random on the day.
On the proposal day, everything is prepared before you arrive.
While you enjoy what feels like a relaxed couple photoshoot or walk through the city, my team quietly sets the scene in advance:
fresh rose petals,
positioning,
lighting checks,
hidden camera angles.
By the time you arrive, the entire moment is already ready for you.
Nothing feels staged because nothing interrupts the moment.
No visible photographer.
No awkward posing.
No “stand here” directions.
Just the real reaction:
the confusion, the realization, the emotion, the first kiss — captured naturally from a distance without breaking the surprise.
Within a few hours, you receive a preview gallery ready to share with family and friends.
Your complete edited gallery is delivered within 48–72 hours.
So while you’re still celebrating in Sicily, the memory is already safely yours forever.
A real surprise proposal in Sicily, planned in secret and captured without interrupting the moment.
The short video reel: the wait, the yes, playing the music of love. No poses, no fake cuts — just you.
Surprise Proposal · Sicily
Every proposal experience includes a custom rose setup prepared before you arrive.
Fresh petals are placed by hand at the exact proposal spot — not just for beauty, but to create atmosphere, guide positioning naturally, and make the scene feel emotionally charged the instant she sees it.
The result is subtle, cinematic, and completely real.
"We arrive thirty minutes before you. We lay the petals by hand, one by one. The perfume is already in the air when she arrives."
This is not just decoration. It serves a precise purpose: it marks the exact spot invisibly for you, makes the ground photogenic from every angle, and triggers an emotional reaction in her before you even speak — making the subsequent expression far more powerful to capture.
Prices are not displayed publicly to allow personalised, fair quotation based on your specific location, date and needs. Every investment is discussed privately — transparently and without surprise.
These aren't upsells. They're already in your package — because the moment deserves it.
A private video call or chat where I walk you through the exact location, showing you the precise light angle at your chosen time, the best positioning, crowd avoidance strategy, and a weather backup plan. By the end of this call, you'll feel as if you've already done the proposal.
3–4 hours after the proposal, you receive 10–15 lightly retouched photos directly on your phone. She can share with her family tonight. You can post your first photo as an engaged couple before you even have dinner. The moment doesn't wait — neither do I.
A 45–60 second vertical cinematic video — colour graded, music selected, the full arc from her arrival to the ring to the first kiss — delivered within 48 hours. Made for Instagram and TikTok. Comments like "I'm crying 😭" from people you've never met are a normal outcome.

I work for years as professional photographer and I have photographed hundreds of emotional moments. I have never had to activate this guarantee. But knowing it exists should give you one less thing to worry about on the most important day of your planning.
"I was terrified Alessio would be spotted — Sophie has eagle eyes. He was completely invisible. When I saw the photo of her face the exact second she realised what was happening, I cried for the first time in my adult life. The petals, the light, the angle — everything was perfect. We had the preview before dinner."
"I found Alessio after three failed attempts to book a photographer who spoke English and had experience with surprise proposals. The planning call was incredibly thorough — he told me the exact time to arrive, where to stand, what to do if she looked left. He had thought of everything I hadn't. The reel got 3,200 views on Instagram in 24 hours."
"We were visiting Sicily for a week. I wanted to propose near the Etna at sunset. Alessio found the perfect spot at Rifugio Sapienza — light, rose petals, total discretion. She had no idea. The photo of her mouth open and her hands on her face is now our profile photo, our Christmas card, and the cover of our wedding website. One hour with him changed everything."
I use a long telephoto lens (typically 200–400mm) which allows me to stand 30–50 metres away and look like a tourist or a landscape photographer. In busy locations like Taormina, I position myself in the natural flow of tourists. I never wear black or photography vests. We agree on a precise signal — a specific movement or phrase — so I know exactly when the moment is coming. I've never been spotted.
Absolutely. I cover all of Middle Eastern Sicily: Taormina, Etna, Catania, Ortigia/Syracuse, Enna, Cefalù, Agrigento, the Aeolian Islands and beyond. If you have a specific location in mind, I'll research it and advise you on the best spot within that area for light, crowds, and logistics. If you're unsure, I'll suggest 3 options based on your style and the time of year.
Ideally 4–8 weeks ahead to secure your date and have time for a planning call. However I understand proposals are sometimes planned quickly — contact me even with 1–2 weeks notice and I'll tell you honestly if I'm available. High season in Sicily (April–October) fills up fast.
During the Location Light Map call we discuss a backup location and backup time (typically a day apart) as standard. Sicily has over 280 days of sun per year, but dramatic clouds and stormy skies actually produce extraordinary cinematic photos. I'll advise you based on the 48h forecast and together we decide the best approach, in case just we change the date by 1-2 days, for free. I've never canceled, rarely (in winter) just postponed.
Often we just start the experience "officially" as couple photo session, concluding with the proposal moment. We can also invert the sequence. So, yes — after the proposal moment, I can transition seamlessly into a couple session (45 minutes - 1 hour of natural, relaxed photography around the location) capturing your first photos as officially engaged. This can be planned to any package. It produces some of the most beautiful and joyful images I've ever shot.
Let the photos of this incredible experience be preserved in an elegant, handcrafted Sicilian album. I design and create the layout and graphics from scratch, just as I do for Italian wedding couples I work with. You can choose size, model, color and covering. Worldwide shipping is guaranteed.
Tell me the date, the location, and a little about her. I'll respond within a few hours — in English, directly to you. The planning starts here.
I accept a limited number of proposals per month to ensure full presence on every service.
